Nexus Trace: research agents for company and contact data

Nexus Trace is in development. It takes a list of companies, finds the right company record and a decision maker for each one, and records where every field came from.

Nexus Trace is something I'm building now. It isn't available yet. I want to explain what it is for and how it works.

The problem for sales and research teams

Sales and research teams often start with a list of company names. Before anyone can reach out, someone has to find the right website for each one, confirm it's the right company, and then find a person who makes decisions there. That means a name, a role, and an email or phone number.

Doing that by hand for a long list takes a lot of searching. And once the data is in a spreadsheet, it's hard to tell where any one piece came from.

How it works

Nexus Trace runs long running research agents. You give it a list of companies. For each one, it first finds the right company record, meaning the website, the domain, and a basic profile. Then it looks for a decision maker contact with name, role, and email or phone.

It records the source for every field. So when you look at a contact, you can see where each detail was found.

It uses APIs first. It only opens a browser when it needs to, for example to check LinkedIn, Facebook, people databases, or public records like state and court filings.

Researchers choose how deep it searches. A quick pass and a thorough one are both options, and you decide.

Who it's for

It's meant for teams that need company and contact data at volume, like sales and research teams.

Want to hear when it's ready?

You can read more on the Nexus Trace page. Does your team spend its days hunting down company and contact details? Send me a note and I'll put you on the early list and tell you when it's ready.
