RecoNexus Healthcare: reviewing remittances and deposits in one place

RecoNexus Healthcare is the version of RecoNexus I set up for healthcare billing and revenue cycle work, where the review needs more structure.

The problem

Remittances, claims, and deposits don't always line up. Someone still has to look at the difference before anything gets posted. Doing that across a stack of remits takes a long time.

What it does

It shows a batch of remittances with what was paid, what is ready for review, and what is still an exception.

It compares a bank deposit with the remit total and flags the difference.

It groups exceptions so they're easier to work through. Those include a partial payment, a denial, patient responsibility, an adjustment, a recoupment, a missing claim, or a deposit mismatch.

You can open one resident and one claim inside a batch to see the detail.

What it doesn't do

You can ask it questions about the imported remits, but it doesn't post or change the record. You can mark that someone looked at an exception. That doesn't approve it or post it. Posting stays in your billing system.
