RecoNexus: payment reconciliation without the spreadsheet

RecoNexus matches incoming payments to the invoices, accounts, and client records they belong to, and sets aside anything unclear for review. Here's why I built it and how it works.

Payment reconciliation is one of the most common things I see when I do AI consulting for offices on Long Island. Payments come in, and someone has to match each one to the right record by hand.

The problem

Payments and the records behind them don't line up cleanly. A deposit shows up with a short reference, or a partial amount, or it could belong to two different invoices. So someone sits with a spreadsheet and works through it line by line.

What RecoNexus does

RecoNexus takes the payments that came in and connects each one to the record it belongs to. That might be the invoice, the account, or the client. Clean matches are assigned automatically.

When a payment doesn't line up, it gets set aside for review instead of guessed. That covers things like a partial amount, a missing reference, or two possible matches. Your team handles the exceptions, not every line.

How it fits your office

I set it up around the exports and portals you already use. You don't have to change accounting systems to stop matching payments by hand.

Who it's for

Any business where payments, records, and supporting files don't line up cleanly, and someone spends hours every week sorting it out.

You can see more on the RecoNexus page, or read about my payment reconciliation work.

Is somebody in your office stuck matching deposits every week? Tell me how you do it now and I'll see if RecoNexus fits.
